This was predictable. Mickey Kaus asks what this says about the seriousness of McCain’s intentions to secure the border. I’m curious if anyone ever believed that he was serious.

Their headline: Update: ICE describes raid as ‘largest in Iowa history’
But right in the second paragraph we learn that these several hundred illegal immigrants were rounded up at “the nation’s largest kosher meatpacking plant.” That practically writes itself, and the Register whiffed. Effing weak.

Perhaps Tito’s should run ads in Denmark showing Sweden as a possession of the Danish crown? We’re not the only country that ever took territory from others. We just managed ours better and didn’t lose it.

Evidently a border fence will destroy the environment.
Some environmentalists have complained that the fence will disrupt the migrations of various species, including imperiled ones such as jaguars.
But disrupting migrations is the entire point.
